Day 01 Arrival to San Jose/Posada San Miguel

Day 02 Pacuare White Water Adventure/Posada San Miguel

A Rios Tropicales shuttle will provide transportation from the hotel to the Pacuare River for an exciting world-class rafting adventure. Glide over the white rapids that cut through long swaths of pristine jungle and abundant wildlife. Pacuare rewards its visitors with awe-inspiring views and unforgettable memories. Day 03 Arenal Volcano/Arenal Springs

A private transfer from Best of Costa Rica will drive you to Arenal Volcano. The 3-4 hour drive to Arenal Springs offers a great opportunity to enjoy the countryside through rolling hills and picturesque small towns. Arenal Volcano rewards its visitors with spectacular red-hot lava displays and earth-rattling thunder. This adventure is for people that like to get dirty and wet. It is 45 minutes driving away from La Fortuna town. You will cross tight paths, rivers flowing and a maze of rock tunnels, where you can see different formations of rock, including one called “La Papaya” that amazes anyone. Spiders and bats are frequent in this place.

Day 05 Arenal Springs 

Rio Celeste is located in the Tenorio Volcano National Park, you will begin with a hike of 4 miles (7 km) that takes around 4 hours, in a rainy forest. You will visit a place called “Los Teñideros”, in this place you can find two growing water, and when they get together it turns light blue. That’s why the name of the river is Celeste
(Light-Blue).

Day 06 Arenal Springs

What better way to explore the beautiful lush rainforest around Lake Arenal then by mountain bike! Gear yourself up for a physical ride on a quiet country road that begins at the
Lake Arenal Dam, proceeds to the entrance of the Arenal
Volcano National Park and ends near the Observatory Lodge.
Enjoy magnificent views of the Arenal Lake and Volcano along the way. Perhaps a monkey or two will come out to cheer you on!

Day 07 Drive to Quepos/Arenas del Mar Resort

Your trip begins with a 30-minute 4x4 drive into the tropical rainforest outside the town of La Fortuna, in the shadow of the Arenal Volcano. You trek through the forest on magical trails that lead to some of the most spectacular waterfalls in Costa Rica, a place very few people get to experience. Along the way you will have the chance to discover the secrets that lie hidden deep within the canyon. After you take lunch and change your clothes at the Pure Trek operations center, a private transfer from Best of Costa Rica will pick you up to drive you to Manuel Antonio. *Suggested activities: Manuel Antonio National Park: An experienced guide will accompany you on an informative walk through Costa Rica’s most famous National Park while at the same time point out monkeys, sloths, iguanas, birds and other wildlife on the way. Besides hiking books and binoculars, bring your bathing suit and a towel and take advantage of the calm white sandy beaches within the park.

Day 09 Arenas del Mar Resort

Paddle protected inland waterways. This is a perfect place to learn the magical way of exploring coastal mangrove areas and seeing wildlife. Mangroves thrive where the salt waters of the ocean meet the fresh waters of tropical rivers creating a periodically submerged forest of interlacing aerial roots. The pace of this trip is according to your abilities.

Day 10 Arenas del Mar Resort

Canopy Safari provides tourists a unique activity and ecological experience, and almost anyone of any age can participate! You do not need to be in great physical condition and it is not strenuous. This tour offers an adventurous tourist the opportunity to ascend into the forest canopy and see jungle life from a perspective available previously to only a select few researchers and photographers.

Day 11 Fly to San Jose/Departure

Early fly back to San Jose and a private transfer from Best of Costa Rica will meet you to provide transportation to the International Airport to board your departure flight.
