Day 01 Arrival to San José / Costa Rica Marriott

A Best of Costa Rica representative will greet you at the airport and provide transportation to the Costa Rica Marriott Hotel. Nestled in a 30 acre coffee plantation, this luxury hotel is a replica of a colonial "Hacienda". Among other amenities, you and your beloved can enjoy its golf course, 2 outdoor swimming pools, health club, sauna, and choice of five restaurants.

Day 02 Flight to Hotel Punta Islita

A private transfer from Best of Costa Rica will greet you at the Costa Rica Marriott and drive you to the local airport to board a brief flight to Hotel Punta Islita, a jewel of a romantic vacation spot and a proud member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World. Day 03 Punta Islita

*Suggested activities: After a tropical breakfast, take a morning bird-watching hike.  Witness as monkeys and other creatures celebrate the beginning of a new day.  Punta Islita offers three distinct trails for your choosing.  And after the hike, how about a well-deserved piña colada from our pool bar while overlooking the Pacific Ocean.

Day 04 Punta Islita

*Suggested activities: Time to pamper yourself! The ocean provides a unique backdrop for a full-body massage or a luxurious facial with tropical herbs. Relax by the pool, sip a cocktail, or just lounge in a hammock. As a crowning moment of perhaps the most soothing and romantic day of your lives, request the beach-side private dinner. Punta Islita’s Staff will set up a table shrouded by the beautiful shoreline vegetation. You will bask in the soft glow of the moon and the warm flicker of torches as the ocean surf serenades you. Enjoy the delectable food and an exquisite glass of fine wine or champagne. Spectacularly romantic!

Day 05 Private transfer to Arenal Volcano-Tabacon Resort

Return flight to San Jose. A transfer from Best of Costa Rica will take you to Arenal Volcano. The 3-4 hour drive features rolling hills and picturesque small towns. Arenal Volcano rewards its visitors with spectacular red-hot lava displays and earth-rattling thunder. Nestled in a lush valley on the northern side of Arenal Volcano, Tabacon features front-row views of the colossus and mineral-rich thermal pools embedded in beautifully landscaped grounds.

Day 06 Arenal Volcano/Tabacon Resort

*Suggested activities: Manuel Antonio National Park: An experienced guide will accompany you on an informative walk through Costa Rica’s most famous National Park while at the same time point out monkeys, sloths, iguanas, birds and other wildlife on the way. Besides hiking books and binoculars, bring your bathing suit and a towel and take advantage of the calm white sandy beaches within the park.

Day 04 Arenas del Mar Resort

*Suggested activities: Whitewater Rafting: Enjoy this unforgettable experience of rafting on the beautiful Naranjo or Savegre Rivers. You are very likely to observe wildlife along the river. Lunch is included in this tour.

Day 05 Arenas del Mar Resort

*Suggested activities: Horseback riding into the rural areas near Manuel Antonio; part of the tour will take you to refresh yourself in a wild waterfall and observe Toucans and other wildlife.

Day 08 El Silencio Lodge
